For every parent it's a frightful situation to have your child with a pain that you can't diagnose or fix. Sometimes the crying out for help while clutching there tummies can cause a stress that could be more harm than good for a parent in panic mode. The one thing every parent should remember is it's ok to feel a sense of urgency, but remember to do so carefully. Getting into an accident on the way to the hospital could cause more harm to you or your child and even maybe another family. Also when in the event that your child is hurt or in pain that is when they need a parent to be calm and comforting. Kids WILL feed off of your panicked state. Be safe and always try and stay calm. It could be the difference.

Commit
So if your going to be a great dad, sometimes you need to be all in. What I mean by that is if you have a baby girl, sometimes you have to paint nails, do hair, and host a tea party or two. Have fun with it. Its for the kids!

Sick days
As a dad you need to realize that no matter what your plans were for the night, in a moment they could change. Tonight me and my wife had plans to partake in a festive work party. The party was free food, drinks, and a band. But my daughter caught a bug which made here puke. Although we had a baby sitter planned, I decided I would stay home to make chicken soup and rub her belly. Remember dads that these years are going to help shape your relationships with your kids. Dont be afraid to miss a night out to be a hero. Sometimes your kids just need you.

The little things
In this fast paced world sometimes you have to sit back and relish the little things. Sometimes a glass of hot cocoa and popcorn can go a long way to making a smile.
